Payment Terms

Comprehensive guidelines governing all payments made or received through the Colaber platform and services.

These Payment Terms govern the payments made or received through the services offered via www.colaber.in or the Colaber mobile application. These Terms form a part of the Colaber Terms & Conditions.

Important: By using Colaber to make or receive payments, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization. If you do not agree, do not use Colaber's payment services.

1. Key Definitions

Colaber Wallet

A digital balance used for receiving payments, refunds, and making purchases within Colaber.

Earnings

The net amount a Freelancer/Agency earns after Colaber's commission is deducted.

Payment Partners

Third-party service providers (e.g., Razorpay, PayPal, Payoneer) that process payments and withdrawals.

Buyers & Sellers

Buyers: Clients purchasing services. Sellers: Freelancers, agencies, and service providers.

2. Receiving Payments

General Terms

  • Sellers earn 90% of the order amount; Colaber retains a 10% platform fee
  • All payments are held in the Colaber Wallet with a 7-14 day clearance period
  • Funds from cancelled projects will be returned to the buyer's Colaber Wallet
  • Colaber acts as a limited payment collection agent on behalf of Sellers

Service Completion

Payments are released when:

  • The order is marked complete by the buyer, or
  • Automatically after 5 days without dispute post-delivery
  • Hourly contracts follow weekly reviews and payout cycles

Tax Responsibility:

Sellers are responsible for local tax compliance, including GST, income tax, or VAT. Prices shown are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

3. Withdrawing Earnings

Withdrawal Methods

Domestic (India)

  • • UPI Transfer
  • • Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS)
  • • Digital Wallets

International

  • • PayPal
  • • Payoneer
  • • Wire Transfer

Withdrawal Conditions

  • Minimum withdrawal threshold may apply
  • Withdrawal fees and processing times vary by payment method
  • Withdrawals are final and irreversible
  • Inactive accounts eligible for withdrawals after 90 days with verification

4. Purchasing on Colaber

Payment Methods

Buyers can pay for services through:

  • Credit/Debit Cards
  • UPI
  • Net Banking
  • Wallet Balance

Service Fees & Processing

  • All payments are securely handled by Colaber's Payment Partners
  • Colaber may charge a service fee (e.g., 5%) on purchases to cover processing costs
  • Wallet balance will be used automatically for future orders if available

Currency & Conversion:

Payments are primarily in INR (₹). Other currencies may be accepted via payment partners, with exchange rates and fees applicable. Refunds processed in INR at prevailing rates.

5. Refunds & Cancellations

General Refund Policy

  • Refunds are returned to the Colaber Wallet by default
  • Direct refunds to original payment methods can be requested from billing page
  • Buyers must use the Resolution Center before contacting Colaber Support

Cancellation Conditions

Colaber may cancel an order in the following cases:

  • No delivery or proof of work provided
  • Seller is unresponsive beyond expected timelines
  • Delivery includes plagiarism, illegal, or infringing content
  • Buyer and Seller mutually agree to cancel
  • Seller violates Colaber's Terms

Dispute Periods

Regular Orders

Disputes must be raised within 5 days after delivery

Milestone/Hourly Projects

Disputes within 3 days after report submission

After these periods, payments are auto-released to the Seller.

6. Promo Codes & Credits

Promotional credits (if issued) are:

  • Non-transferable
  • Non-redeemable for cash
  • Valid for 90 days
  • Only one promo code may be used per order

Important:

Promo misuse or fraud may result in account suspension.

7. Chargebacks

  • Filing a chargeback after accepting delivery violates these Terms
  • Colaber will investigate and defend sellers where possible
  • If the chargeback is successful, the seller may lose the disputed amount from wallet or future earnings

Note: Please use our Resolution Center before considering chargebacks to resolve disputes fairly.

8. Platform Commission

Colaber charges a commission on each successful transaction, typically:

Standard Services

10%

Enterprise Projects

May vary for enterprise projects, ads, or subscriptions

This covers platform maintenance, support, and transaction handling.

9. Taxes & Invoicing

  • Buyers may receive GST invoices where applicable
  • Colaber may collect or withhold tax under Indian law
  • Sellers must issue invoices to clients, if required by law, especially in B2B cases

10. Modifications to Terms

  • Colaber may update these Payment Terms from time to time
  • Continued use of the platform after updates implies acceptance
  • Users may deactivate their account if they do not agree with the changes

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Kerala, India.
